The Canavan Foundation's new Rabbinic Advisory Committee
seeks to educate Jews who are members of synagogues and other religious
organizations about Canavan and other genetically transmitted diseases
and the options that are available to combat them, including genetic testing.
If you've seen our materials and wish to request some for use with your
congregants, please fill in and submit the form below and they will be
sent to you.
However, if you are not familiar with our materials, please
request a sample packet and we will send that to you. Our materials include
the following:
- a brochure with information concerning Canavan disease
and a list of labs that test for Canavan disease
- a page designed for young couples
- a fact sheet briefly describing the nine
Jewish genetic diseases for which there is carrier testing available
